Revived Alive Ministries Testimonials

At Revived Alive Ministries, we believe Jesus still transforms lives today.
These are not stories of religion — these are real encounters with the living God.
Every testimony is proof that chains are broken, hearts are healed, and lives are restored through Christ.

“I Was a Ghost in My Own Body”

Tyler Fleming

For a long time, I was a ghost inhabiting my own skin.

The Struggle

If you looked at me, you might have seen a man who was just “tough” or “rebellious,” but inside, I was a walking graveyard. I carried decades of jagged glass in my heart—anger that burned like acid, resentments I nursed like they were my only friends, and a heavy, suffocating blanket of unforgiveness toward the world and, most painfully, toward myself.

I was lost. I wasn’t just wandering; I was sprinting away from everything that tried to love me. I was stiff-necked, hardheaded, and so convinced of my own strength that I didn’t realize I was actually dying of exhaustion.

Running

I tried to outrun God. I ran through the dark, through the screams, through the moments where I blamed Him for the very fires I had lit myself.

But here is the thing about the Creator: you cannot outpace the One who knitted you together. No matter how fast I ran, He was there, matching my pace, breathing through the seconds I tried to deny Him.

The Encounter

Everything changed at Revived Alive Ministries in Vancouver. I didn’t just go to church that day; I had an appointment with the Almighty.

When God found me there, He didn’t just pat me on the back—He shook me to my absolute core. In a moment that words are too shallow to hold, something physically lifted.

A weight I had carried since I was a boy, a darkness that had become my identity, simply left my body. It was an encounter so deep, so agonizingly personal, that I can only tell you this:

“I am not the man who walked into that building.”

Surrender

I spent years trying to be the captain of a sinking boat. I gripped the wheel until my knuckles were white and my spirit was broken.

It wasn’t until I learned through Papa Dale Winegarden that I was never meant to steer that the real miracle began. The moment I finally let go—the moment I surrendered the wheel and stopped fighting—is the moment the fire I thought had died forever roared back to life.

A Family That Helped Me Stand

God didn’t just save me and leave me in the dirt; He gave me a family to help me stand.

Pastor Tamara, Pastor Joe and Pastor Jeff, thank you for seeing the man God intended me to be even when I was still covered in the soot of my past.

To Dale, Daryl North, and Keith—thank you for the grace of your correction. You didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear; you held me accountable, you spoke truth into my life when it hurt to hear it, and you taught me that discipline is just another form of love.

You helped me stay on the path when my old self wanted to wander back into the woods.

I have been beaten into the ground. I have been dragged by the chains of my own making.

But God reached into the dirt, broke those shackles, and used this community to help me wash the dust off.

I am no longer bound to the whims of this world or the ghosts of my past.

I am rooted in Christ alone.

I am Tyler Fleming: once lost, once rebellious, once broken—but now, finally, I am free.
